2001 Big Dog Choppers “Pro Sport”
Motor: 1,753cc (107ci) (bored to 129ci)
Frame: Chopper
Transmission: Baker 6-speed
Mileage: Exempt
Stock: 01BD04-4123
The Pro-Sport model of the Big Dogs is a unique bike. Few of them were made. It is a model that is much more aligned with the traditional choppers and pro-streets than the softail models. Full rear suspension and a unique rear fender with integrated taillight. The bike has excellent custom paint and is overall in great condition with very minor flaws. The motor is most likely an Ultima motor and supposedly was bored out to 129ci. We did not get any documents on that but the motor certainly pulls heavy. See the walk-around video for details on condition on our website.
We do not recommend any custom choppers for new riders even though this is a very well-balanced bike
With the Chopper craze in the 90s and early 2000s there were several companies that came on the market with their creations trying to make a commercial name for themselves. While companies like West Coast Choppers catered to the exclusive custom one-of-build bike market Big Dog and others tried to mass produce these bikes. Few made it, Big Dog was one of the few. Recognized as one of the few custom builders with Kelley Blue ratings Big Dog has gone mainstream.
Founded in mid 1990 the company started to produce up to 10 variations of their bikes. Equipped with S&S Engine and transmissions they had a reliable drivetrain and could produce cost efficient bikes to those that could not afford $100,000 custom creations. Their not over-raked front wheels gave a nice look to the bike that stood out enough but was still very much drivable.

2001 Independence Motorcycle Company “Hardtail”
Motor: 1,638cc (100ci) RevTech
Frame: Hardtail Chopper
Transmission: 6-speed
Mileage: Exempt (No speedometer/odometer)
Stock: 01IN54-0216
A Rev-Tech powered custom chopper that, as you can see by the pictures, needs some love and care. A perfect project or turn this into a “Rat Chopper”, old-school style. The bike runs excellent now. So mechanically there is nothing to be done. It is a fully functioning bike that was brought back to life after sitting for several years. We re-lined the tank, did a full carb rebuilt and got this bike back on the road. Now either go all the way in the “rat” department or start making things pretty again. See the walk around video on our website that shows the condition in detail.
As with all custom bikes the tires are aged out and should be replaced.
Surprisingly this bike is a very easy handling ride and despite being a hardtail chopper it actually does not rattle your brains out. The 200 rear tire has enough meat to take a good punch instead of your spine. Handles easy over railroad tracks and turns in nicely.
Independence Motorcycle Company was founded in Tucson, Arizona and was in business for about 5 years until they were hit with a lawsuit and judgement from the State of CA for selling new bikes in CA that did not meet the stringent CA requirements. Instead of paying the fine they shut their doors in 2005.

1999 Bourget “Low Blow” Pro-Street chopper
Motor: 1,853cc S&S 113ci
Frame: Pro-Street
Transmission: 6-speed
Mileage: Exempt (no odometer/speedometer)
Stock: 99BO55-3855
Bourget is the Rolls Royce of the custom motorcycles with low production numbered bikes that were both great to look at as well as amazing engineered. This Low Blow model uses part of the main frame as the oil reservoir giving the entire bike a much cleaner look. Powered with an S&S 113ci motor it is vastly overpowered. It took Harley another 20 years to come out with an equivalent 114ci motor. An amazing machine with good original paint and very few flaws on the paint or frame. 200mm rear end that is driven through a 3in open primary by a 6-speed transmission.
This bike is not for new riders. It is powerful and aggressive in all aspects. Runs perfect. The tank was just relined, carb rebuilt and oil changed.
